Music education
that resonates
beyond the stage.
International consulting for music education programmes built around social action — designed, strengthened and sustained over time.
A musician, a teacher, a builder of programmes.
Francis Gagliardi is a Venezuelan music educator based in London, with two decades of work designing, leading and strengthening music programmes for social action across Latin America and Europe.
Trained as a psychopedagogue at UPEL IPC (summa cum laude) and as a horn player at the Conservatorio Simón Bolívar, Francis was shaped by El Sistema in Venezuela and went on to carry that pedagogical model into very different contexts: Sweden, Greece, Saint Lucia, and the United Kingdom.
Today she is Programme Director at The Nucleo Project in West London, coach for the Academy for Impact through Music, and a programme designer for El Sistema Greece — work that takes her into refugee centres, state conservatoires, ministry-level reform, and conducting podiums alike.
Her practice insists that artistic excellence and human transformation are not in tension. Resonare is the vehicle through which she brings that conviction to institutions ready to do the work.
Five lines of work, one continuous practice.
From conception to long-term sustainability — pedagogical, artistic and institutional consulting for music programmes that need to last.
-
01
Design and construction of music education programmes
From concept to launch: vision, curriculum, implementation roadmap and operational architecture for new programmes.
-
02
Diagnosis, evaluation and strengthening of existing programmes
Independent assessment of pedagogy, artistic outcomes and institutional health — followed by clear recommendations and accompaniment.
-
03
Teacher training, capacity building and pedagogical coaching
Workshops, intensives and one-to-one coaching that build pedagogical confidence in teachers, conductors and programme leaders.
-
04
Specialised artistic and pedagogical consulting
Repertoire selection, ensemble design, festival and concert programming, masterclass curation — built around the students you actually have.
-
05
Strategic consulting for institutional sustainability and fundraising
Theory of change, narrative for funders, governance and the unglamorous work of making a programme last beyond its founders.
Five principles that hold the work together.
Not a manifesto, not a methodology slide. The convictions that show up in every brief, every workshop and every governance conversation.
-
01
The student is the centre — always.
Every decision, from repertoire to scheduling to governance, is checked against what it does for the student in the room. Methodologies serve children, not the other way around.
-
02
Excellence held with rigour.
Working in vulnerable contexts is not a reason for lower artistic standards. It is the reason for higher pedagogical ones.
-
03
Adaptability without dilution.
A model that worked in Caracas does not transplant unchanged to Athens or Castries. The principles travel; the implementation is rebuilt every time, with the people who live there.
-
04
Sustainability is a design choice.
A programme that depends on a single founder, a single grant, or a single charismatic conductor is not yet a programme. It becomes one when it can outlive each of them.
-
05
Consulting is accompaniment, not delivery.
A report dropped at the end of an engagement rarely changes anything. The work continues — in supervision, in follow-up visits, in honest conversations months after the invoice has been paid.
Programmes and institutions Francis has worked with.
Two decades, six countries, hundreds of teachers and thousands of students — across state systems, NGOs, conservatoires and grassroots núcleos.
